Afixcel Engineering Type 1122 is a single coil spring mechanical seal with a durable rubber bellow, specifically designed for wastewater treatment plants and sewage applications. The rubber bellow serves a dual purpose: it effectively shields the shaft or sleeve from fretting while also preventing any torsional stress on the bellows themselves.
Torque is reliably transmitted through the spring and the spring holder, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding conditions. Thanks to its self-aligning design, the seal easily compensates for abnormal shaft runout and wear on the primary sealing surface.
The single coil spring construction also helps prevent clogging by keeping effluent particles away from the seal components. This makes the Type VBMG-1 an ideal choice for efficient, trouble-free operation in wastewater and sewage handling equipment
