Using the principle of natural convection, this system circulates the barrier or buffer fluid automatically—without relying on any mechanical pump. As the fluid heats up, it becomes less dense and rises, while cooler, denser fluid sinks. This continuous movement, known as the Thermosyphon effect, keeps the system operating efficiently.
Thermosyphon Cooling Systems are commonly used with double mechanical seals to deliver consistent lubrication and cooling to the seal faces, helping extend seal life and maintain reliable performance. Inside the vessel, an integrated cooling coil lowers the temperature of the barrier fluid returning from the seal, ensuring optimal thermal management.
